The Local Action Groups, LAG in short, were born from public and private local actors coming together with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of local areas.
The LAGs, with legal status as capital, consortium or cooperative companies, with their own registered capital and Board of directors, are planning entities that bring together different local actors to implement a development policy. In line with this policy, the Local Action Groups aim to involve local communities in making the most useful choices for the area and in implementing these initiatives.
