THE SLEEPING WOMAN PATH
If the Samnite province were to be identified by one geomorphological trait, it would undoubtedly be the famous "Sleeping Woman of Sannio", which is the name by which the Taburno massif is also known, as its outlines seem to trace the stylized image of a woman who is lying down.
This path was designed to promote and encourage visits to the very beautiful natural locations in the Taburno area, defined by its biodiversity, agronomic excellence and interesting tourist sites. Walking along the path that starts at Solopaca and crosses Paupisi, Torrecuso, Foglianise, Vitulano, Cautano, Campoli del Monte Taburno, Tocco Caudio e Montesarchio, we can admire the beauties of the Taburno Regional Park characteristic of this area.
In the municipality of Montesarchio, the path connects again with the Via Francigena route, and then with the main path, Pilgrim Spirit.
The whole route is on paved road, and is accessible to anyone with a minimum level of fitness.
